Birthday Presents

Rachel Mii Double JumpHappy Tuesday!

My birthday was at the beginning of the month and even though I turned 23, you would probably think I’m much younger based on what I received for presents.

I got a cat and went away for a weekend, so I wasn’t expecting too much for my birthday, if anything at all. But my parents and sister did manage to buy me a few gifts and I have to say that they did pretty well.

One gift Kris got me was a Charizard Amiibo. We now have five Amiibos all together.

When the Amiibos were first announced, Kris and I didn’t know what to make of them. We didn’t understand them at first and didn’t get the point of them. But I do love collecting things. I knew that I would eventually start collecting them when I had the extra money to spend.

Our collection is slow-growing and all five Amiibos are still in their boxes. We’re not sure if we want to open them or not.

To help our collection, Kris and I decided that for each Christmas and birthday, we’ll buy each other one Amiibo. She got me Charizard because he’s one of my favorite Pokemon and I’m pretty good as him in Super Smash Bros.

I also got a Pikachu sweatshirt. You know, the one where you put on the hood and you have Pikachu ears? Someone was wearing it when we were at a diner during our mini-vacation and apparently my mom thought it would be funny to get me one.

It was funny and probably one of my favorite gifts. I look adorable in it, if I do say so myself. You wouldn’t think it, but that sweatshirt is probably the softest I own.

I got a few Harry Potter things and Ninja Turtles things as well. It was another good birthday and I can only hope to continue to do me in this next year.

Oh, and here’s my birthday cake:
