Friday Favorites: 2017 Games

Double Jump Kris MiiWith every new year comes plenty of anticipation and new games. Quite a few titles are slated for a 2017 release, and I’m eagerly looking forward to them! Below are just a couple of games I’ll be anxious to try playing.

Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy

It’s a Professor Layton game but starring his daughter, and as a fan of the puzzle franchise, I can’t wait to see what they do with Lady Layton as the protagonist. The story revolves around the disappearance of her father, who we all know kicks ass. I’m intrigued by the mystery already.

Yooka-Laylee

The spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee looks to be tons of fun. With quirky graphics, cute characters, and the same composer as BK working on the music, Yooka-Laylee was a shoe-in for this list.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Was this a surprise to anyone? The Legend of Zelda franchise continuously brings absolute gems when it comes to video games and, after being delayed for a few years, Breath of the Wild looks as if it’ll have no problem living up to the series. With gorgeous graphics, an open world, and plenty of new gameplay features like clothing, cooking, and having an actual jump button, Breath of the Wild is what I’m most anxious to play in 2017.

  1. I’m looking forward to pretty much anything that will be announced at their Switch conference! I can’t wait! Of course, you also picked solid choices! I can’t believe Yooka-Laylee will finally be out too! So excited!
