One of the best parts of playing video games are all the fantastical worlds you can visit (assuming, of course, they are settings that you’d want to visit). If Rachel and I had the time and money to go jetting off to a video game world, there are a few places we’d like to visit.
Hyrule. I mean, is that even a question? Hyrule would definitely be my top choice. I know that’s an obvious one, so I thought of something else: Kurain Village. Kurain Village is from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and that’s where the Spirit Mediums, like Maya Fey, train. Despite its crime rate, I think it would be a beautiful place to check out.
More specifically for Hyrule, I would love to visit Kakariko Village. Any incarnation of the location, really, for they each seem to be rich in history and a central location for many of Hyrule’s races to gather and interact with one another. Kurain Village is an awesome choice! It’d be another place ripe with history and lore. I think my second choice, though, would be the Pokemon League. Although any incarnation would be awesome, I believe Kalos was my favorite.
Pokemon was going to be my next one as well. I would love to visit any region, but Sinnoh would be my first choice, then Alola, then Kalos. My third choice (though technically this is my fourth…) would be Mushroom Kingdom, specifically Toad Town from Paper Mario. I love that whole world from the other Nintendo 64 Paper Mario.
Toad Town would be adorable! I can picture them as being very friendly and welcoming… Until, of course, Bowser or some other villain inevitably shows up in an attempt to kidnap Princess Peach. My third choice would probably be a kingdom in the Fire Emblem franchise, particularly Ylisse from Awakening or Tellius from the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn games. Of course, I would prefer to visit them after the wars…
Imagine if these were real places. How cool would that be?
