There’s a lot of great games coming out for the Nintendo Switch, some games I hope to play to branch out a bit more than just constantly playing Mario or Zelda.
With that said, there’s still one game that I really hope to see on the Switch someday…
When Luigi’s Mansion came out in 2001 for the Nintendo Gamecube, I was beyond excited. I absolutely love Luigi and I was happy that he was finally getting some spotlight. The idea of the haunted mansion intrigued me as well since the Boo House levels in a typical Mario game are among my favorite.
It’s a quick game, one I always wished they had expanded upon because I enjoyed it so much. Then they finally came out with Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. 12 years later!
Dark Moon was a fantastic game, one that I plan on re-playing in the near future. I don’t want to wait another 12 years for the next Luigi’s Mansion game, especially since it’s already been four years.
I would love for Nintendo to make a third Luigi’s Mansion game for the Nintendo Switch. I think a lot could be updated and added with the Switch’s new features.
And the graphics? The graphics would be amazing.
I know there were rumors of a Luigi’s Mansion 3 going around back when the Switch was only known as the “NX.” It was a rumor that it’d be a launch title and there’s no sign of a Luigi’s Mansion 3 anywhere.
Miyamoto and Aonuma mentioned a possible “Paper Zelda” game to go along with Paper Mario in the interview below. If that’s true, then Luigi’s Mansion 3 shouldn’t be so far-fetched… Right?
