Who’s That Pokemon?

Rachel Mii Double Jump

Happy Tuesday!

I have some exciting news. Well, I think it’s exciting… even though most people already knew about it and if you didn’t, you probably know about it now.

Marshadow: A new Pokemon

A new mythical Pokemon has been revealed for the Alolan region. Apparently this Pokemon was leaked through the demo of the Pokemon Sun and Moon games, but… honestly, I have never heard of the Pokemon before.

It’s called Marshadow and, according to Serebii, is a fighting/ghost type. I think it’s adorable and I can’t wait to get my hands on one.

Marshadow was revealed in a short 16-second video on My Nintendo News. Apparently, this Pokemon isn’t available in game for Sun and Moon, but there is a way to get it. That way, however, has yet to be revealed. In other news, the whole point of showing off Marshadow was to tease everyone.

Marshadow will apparently have a role in the upcoming Pokemon movie, I Choose You (trailer below). The movie is remake/retelling of the Indigo League, however the latest Pokemon, including Marshadow, are in the movie. In other words, it’s an updated retelling.

I haven’t been keeping up with the Pokemon anime or movies, but this one looks pretty good.

Are you excited for another new Pokemon and movie? What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Yay Marshadow! I’m not sure how I feel about the new Pokemon and characters in the “old-school” movie. They had two perfectly good characters, Brock and Misty. The new movie is toying with our nostalgia…

    • Okay, I’m glad I’m not the only one! I was so confused when I read that it’s a throwback, but the new characters and Pokemon from other regions and brand new ones are throwing me off…

      • I mean, I’d take the newer Pokemon, since technically, all of these Pokemon exist (we just don’t know about them in the context of the first season). But I can’t agree with a complete rewriting of the characters. The show isn’t that old that people have forgotten who Brock and Misty are!

      • That’s true!
I bet they changed the characters for the “newer” generation of Pokemon lovers. But still, Pokemon Go was so nostalgic for the generation that grew up with Pokemon, so I don’t know why they would cater to the new generation..
