The Girl and The Robot originally came out for Steam in 2009. It was recently released for the Nintendo Wii U on May 25, 2017. We got a free digital review code from Miketendo64. Thanks, guys!
With all that being said, we’re about halfway through the game. Yet, we’re still not quite sure how we feel about it.
The game is certainly adorable, but there’s hasn’t been a storyline thus far. We’ve been getting bits and pieces here and there about what might be going on, but it’s all just guessing. But, in a way, that makes the game more intriguing. We don’t know what going on, but we’re speculating and want to play more in order to find out.
Actually, it’s kind of similar to Elliot Quest in that sense.
The main downside of the game are the controls. They’re very “clunky” and stiff. It’s hard to control the characters and the camera alike. Kris mentioned that the controls feel like a robot. Which, if that was the case, is a clever way of doing things, but it makes the gameplay frustrating, especially when you’re in a battle.
We wonder if the controls would have been easier on Steam rather than the Wii U gamepad. Still, we’re making progress and overall, we’re enjoying the game.
We can’t wait to share our review on Miketendo with everyone.
Have you played this game? What did you think of it?
