Character Spotlight: Isabelle

Rachel Mii | DoubleJump.comHappy Tuesday!

Today’s Character Spotlight is a character I think we all know and love from a franchise most of us love dearly.

Isabelle from Animal Crossing, Character Spotlight | Nintendo | DoublexJump.com

Isabelle is a fan favorite though she’s not in too many games. She’s a dog who first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS originally released on November 8, 2012. Since then she’s appeared in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for the Nintendo 3DS originally released on July 30, 2015, as well as DLC for Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Wii U in 2014 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch in 2017. That’s it.

Isabelle assists the player in New Leaf as they take on their role as mayor. She’s friendly and respectful though she doesn’t like confrontation and can be absentminded at times. She’s sweet and always has the town’s best interest at heart.

I’m glad Isabelle isn’t a typical villager who can move out of town. I enjoy having her around even though I wish she was able to do more, like a villager.

Overall, she’s a great character and was a nice addition to the Animal Crossing games.

  1. I do love Isabelle, she is kind of the animated embodiment of what the series is, lighthearted fun. I’m also a big fan of Blathers.
