Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and staying warm. There’s more snow coming our way where we live.
As for Lego games, I don’t really get this series…
There’s a rumor that there will be a Lego The Incredibles game coming to the Nintendo Switch. There are currently over a dozen video games starring Lego characters and… I dunno, I never really understood the hype.
They’re cute, yes, and playing with actual Legos was always awesome when I was a kid (and as an adult). As video games, however, they were never my favorite. We have a couple of Lego games, such as the Hobbit and Harry Potter, but playing through scenes of the movies and books wasn’t that great to me. There wasn’t much of a challenge in collecting Lego pieces and it seemed a little silly to have the need to do so to build up parts of the world to move on.
I suppose being Lego-fied, characters and stories like Batman and the Lord of the Rings are more accessible to kids and younger gamers rather than Arkham Asylum and Shadows of Mordor. For me, though, they weren’t games that tended to keep my interest.
