More 2DS XL Designs

Rachel Mii | DoubleJump.comHappy Thursday!

Yesterday Kris and I were talking about some cool 2DS XL designs that Nintendo came out with and some we wanted to see. It was shortly after that, Nintendo announced some new designs coming out for Japan.

There are three new designs. One is based off Animal Crossing New Leaf, which is something I wanted to see. It’s a simple enough design, with the franchise’s name engraved on it with some known features from the games as well as the leaf in the middle. I like it and think it looks nice.

The next design is based off Mario Kart 7. It looks similar to the original designs that game out – the white and orange or the black and blue. This one is simply black and red. It looks really nice, but I’m surprised they didn’t have anything more on it to show that it’s a Mario Kart 7 design. Of course, I assume the game is included with the handheld, but I was still expecting a little more. It still looks great though.

The third design is for Minecraft, the handheld cover resembling a creeper. Aside from the Link’s Hyrule shield and the pokeball designs, I think this is my favorite. The design looks so complex and really resembles a creeper right in your face. I love it.

As always, if I was rich, all of these would be in my pre-order cart, despite them being in Japan.
