Nintendo E3 2019 Predictions & Wish List

E3 is right around the corner and I’m upset that I have to work during the events. Granted, if I was able to justify taking a couple of days off of my day job for E3, I’d mainly be interested in what Nintendo has to say. The other developers would be fun to listen to, but Nintendo is the company we know best.

Nintendo is, as you’re probably well aware, our favorite company. We love their consoles and games and while we dapple in others, Nintendo is what we know best. Their games are what we look forward to the most – Mario, Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda. It’s all great. With that said, what games are you hoping to see more about, Kris?

Well, I’ve heard that Nintendo is focusing on software and games rather than hardware, so we won’t be hearing anything about the newer Switches that may be coming. As for games, I’m looking forward to a bit more information on Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I’m excited because it’s Fire Emblem, but I’m iffy on the idea of the school-like setting. What about you?

Nintendo likes surprises though. I wonder if they’ll mention something about the newer Switches just to have some sort of cliff-hanger. I’m excited that you’re getting a new Fire Emblem game. When they first announced it, it reminded me a lot of Harry Potter and Hogwarts. It should be interesting. I mostly want to know more about Animal Crossing for the Switch and Luigi’s Mansion 3. I imagine Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be similar to the first two games but with new ghost types and such. There’s a lot of cool new things I’d like to see in Animal Crossing Switch, so I hope they make the game bigger and better.

I keep forgetting about Luigi’s Mansion 3. I hope we get some news for that for you! I think there would be a riot if there wasn’t anything for Animal Crossing. Considering even I’ve been playing more Animal Crossing New Leaf lately, I do hope there will be some improvements in the game, especially when it comes to the online capabilities. One such thing we were talking about lately was having yards with our homes. It’d make more sense to decorate our yards with grills and scarecrows rather than keep those kinds of decorations indoors!

Yes, exactly! Plus, we know they’re capable of much more from Happy Home Designer. Though, I guess, that’s a post for another day. I also want to know who the next DLC fighter will be for Smash Ultimate. I hope they give a hint or announce who it will be.

I… know very little about Happy Home Designer, so I’ll take your word for it, haha! The next DLC Smash fighter won’t be available until next February, right? A hint or reveal wouldn’t be a bad thing to see during E3. I’d also like a little bit more about Super Mario Maker 2. There was that rumor about the online play not being available for friends, which sounds ridiculous, so if Nintendo could clarify and hopefully strike that rumor down, that would be great. We have plenty of blogging and gamer friends that I would love to play Super Mario Maker 2 with!

All five DLC fighters will be available by February 2020. So, the other four are coming within the next few months. Revealing the character and/or giving us a release date for the second fighter would be great. I doubt they’ll say much on Super Mario Maker 2 since they had that Direct not too long ago and the release is right around the corner. However, it would be nice if they debunked those rumors.

Oh, that’s coming up quick, then! I’m excited to see who the rest of the fighters are, and a small part of me is still hoping for Geno. I keep forgetting that we’re in June at this point and Super Mario Maker 2 will be released at the end of this month. Still, some clarification regarding the online business would be great. Considering there is a Pokemon direct today as well as the press conference last week, I wonder if there will be anything extra for Pokemon during E3?

As much as I would love to see more Pokemon, despite the Direct, I would love to see more Pokemon stuff at E3. Of course, I’m not getting my hopes up for that. Still, I’m looking forward to seeing what Nintendo has up their sleeve at E3. They always have great surprises and impress.
