Happy November! For the past few years, Kris and I have dedicated November as Zelda Month, dedicated to The Legend of Zelda series. This idea wasn’t ours. PeanutButterGamer on YouTube started Zelda Month a long time ago and since then it’s stretched across many platforms as people participate. The Legend of Zelda is one of our favorite franchises of all time, so this is something we love to participate in each year.
Like with the previous couple of years, the majority of our joint posts for this month will celebrate the franchise. We have some fun posts planned and we hope that everyone else enjoys them, too! This year alone, we’ve gotten some great news about the Legend of Zelda franchise, with games like Cadence of Hyrule and the remake of Link’s Awakening, as well as finding out that a Breath of the Wild sequel is in the works. We’re really excited!
Yes, there’s a lot of Legend of Zelda stuff already here and announced. We’re looking forward to it all. While there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to these games, the posts we write together (Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays) will be Legend of Zelda related. Our solo posts (Monday & Friday and Tuesday & Thursday respectively) may or may not be Zelda related as we don’t want to burn ourselves (or you guys) out talking about this one franchise.
The Legend of Zelda is so lore-heavy, with plenty of fan theories to go along with the canon stories. We’ll be able to explore much of the franchise this month, but I have a feeling we’ll only cover the surface of series, as we have been doing for the past couple of years.
In addition to posts on the blog, we’ll also be live streaming a Zelda game all month long. We’ve decided to go back to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii. It’s been a while since we’ve played that game, but it’s a favorite of mine. Plus, according to the timeline, it’s where the story of Zelda and Link began. So, be sure to tune into our Twitch channel to watch us get screwed over by the motion controls on the Wii!
By “watch us get screwed over” by the controls, you mean me, right? Generally speaking, it’s usually me at the controls, so it’ll be great to see Rachel take her turns with the controls for this game! Let us know what you think of Zelda month as well!
