Rachel Mii | DoubleJump.comHappy Tuesday!
We had a fabulous weekend playing Super Mario Party! If you haven’t picked up the game yet, you’re definitely missing out.

Kris and I had pre-ordered Super Mario Party. We both waited eagerly all day Friday and it finally arrived around 7:30 at night. We had planned on streaming the new game so, naturally, right as we set everything up to stream Pokemon again, Super Mario Party arrived.
It was just on time so we set everything up to stream the new Switch game instead. If you missed it, you can watch it on Twitch here! (If you didn’t know, we stream three times a week so be sure to give us a follow on Twitch @xDoubleJump not to miss anything!)
We enjoyed the game a lot, needless to say. Mario Party was always a series we used to play with our two cousins. So, on Saturday, we invited them over to play the game with us.
We ended up playing for a good couple of hours with them. That couple of hours was filled with a lot of laughs and semi-sabotages (we always feel bad sabotaging each other but with four players… someone has to screw someone else at one point or another).
Overall, it was just great to sit down with my cousins and play a good game for a few hours. We haven’t done that since Mario Party 8 (which was eh) and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It’s been a long time. I’m looking forward to playing more Super Mario Party with them as well as Super Smash Brothers Ultimate when that comes out.

Have you gotten Super Mario Party yet? Do you have a group you’ll play with? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. It looks like a pretty solid entry in the franchise, but I am not going to get it because local multiplayer is not something I do often enough to justify a purchase, unfortunately.
I am glad you are having with it!

      1. Yep. Nintendo would ship an extra copy of the game if they implemented something of the sort. And, considering I am sure I am not alone, they would get a good sales boost if they did that. But sometimes Nintendo is just too… Nintendo.

  2. We’d pre-loaded it on the Switch and on Friday we took it for a spin with my wife. It was great fun, we both really liked it, and are looking forward to testing it with more friends!
