LEGO Harry Potter Is Back!

Rachel Mii | DoubleJump.comHappy Thursday!
Boy, has this been a long week… I’ve barely been home at all to check out what’s going on in the gaming world and even social media. However I did notice something that caught my eye!
The LEGO Harry Potter collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2018!
The LEGO games were always something I wanted to play. I have Chamber of Secrets on the… Gamecube? I think it’s the Gamecube. Kris and I didn’t get very far in it though. We also have LEGO The Hobbit… or it might be LEGO Lord of the Rings. You know, I’m really not sure which one it is. I could look but that would require me to move from my seat. I’m pretty sure it’s Hobbit though for the Wii U. Either way, we didn’t finish that one either because I think we got stuck on it.
Yeah, we got stuck on a LEGO game.
We also have one or two LEGO Batman games. Guess what? We never finished those either.
The LEGO games were always fun to me, though they’ve never been a go-to game of mine. They’re good, but they’re not my favorite. Still, I’d love to get back into them at some point. I’m excited all Harry Potter games will be coming to the Switch so I can have a chance to play them again.

Have you played any LEGO video games? Are you looking forward to the Harry Potter collection? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. On the last episode of Boss Rush, I actually mentioned the exact same phenomenon.
I’ve played many LEGO games in the past and I’ve never beaten any of them because I always get stuck. There is a logic to their level design that I cannot for the life of me grasp. I generally run into a dead end, and the game expects me to go somewhere, get the bits, and build something to clear the obstacle. But I can never figure out exactly what I need or how to build what the game wants me to build. It can’t be entirely the fault of the games if they’re wildly popular and kids much younger than I are able to figure them out.

  2. I quite enjoy the LEGO games but weirdly LEGO Harry Potter is one I’ve yet to give a try yet. I am quite happy to see both games coming out in one set though and I’ll no doubt be picking it up at some point.

    • I honestly don’t remember much of it. I really don’t think we got too far in it. I’ve been getting into a Harry Potter kick lately so when I saw this, I was super excited, lol.

  3. I used to love the LEGO games! I finished HP (including ALL achievements!), Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman, and Star Wars! 😄 I stopped playing them because they added voices to the LEGOS and I hated it (specifically Batman 2). I own The Hobbit and Jurassic World, but I haven’t even opened them… 😑 I should play them though – I think my son would love it!
