Nintendo E3 Predictions & Wish List

E3 2018 Predictions & Wishlist | Gaming | Video Games | E3 2018 |

E3 is on the horizon, being scheduled from June 12 to the 14 this year. Presentations from the video game industry’s most popular developers and publishers — like Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Activision — highlight the show, garnering major attention. Last year, almost 70,000 people were in attendance for the show! Considering it’s across the country from us, Rachel and I catch the show online. Rather, Rachel will. I’ll see highlights later since I’ll be at work during the show.

I don’t understand why the show in smack in the middle of the week, but I’m not here to complain about that. I’m sad I can’t watch it live with Kris, but I’m excited I’ll have a chance to watch it live for once. Of course, if I’m to be honest, I mostly care about what Nintendo and Microsoft have to say. Still, I’m always interested to see what the other companies are working on and for which platforms and such.

Nintendo is mainly what I pay attention to, but we are starting to play more Xbox games as well. Seeing the technology and gameplay brought on by other companies is always amazing to see, of course. What I’m looking forward to most from Nintendo is possibly some more new regarding the Pokemon games that are coming out, the Let’s Go! titles and the core game that’s slated for 2019. A hint or teaser would be nice for those!

Honestly, while I certainly want to know more about the core game, I doubt we’ll find anything else out about it until E3 2019. Maybe they could give us the title or something, but I feel like they’ll hold onto their secrets. I’m sure they’ll talk about the Let’s Go! games some more though! What I really want to see from Nintendo is an original, new core Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo Switch. New Leaf came out for the 3DS in 2012. We’re due for something new.

I’m sure many people are hoping for Animal Crossing. I’m wondering how much info for the Switch Super Smash Bros. we’ll get. Perhaps more of an idea if it is an original addition to the franchise or a port of the Wii U and 3DS version? A trailer for Fire Emblem Switch would be fun to see too!

Rachel Mii Double Jump
Yes, Smash will definitely be a thing. A Fire Emblem game would look great on the Switch. I still want them to announce a Luigi’s Mansion 3, even though they’re remaking the original to the Nintendo 3DS. So, I doubt that will happen. I’m also certain we’ll most like see more of the new Yoshi game. Or, I hope we do anyway.

Perhaps Nintendo will also announce a N64 Classic console. Rumors are flying for it and the other two Classic consoles did so well that they’re being re-released, so E3 may be a good opportunity for them to let us know about the N64 Classic’s existence. I’m also hoping for, perhaps, a little more on the online paid service. That is supposed to start this September, I believe, so a few finalizing comments on it would be nice.

Rachel Mii Double Jump
Oh, right. I’m sure they’ll talk about the paid service some more too. And yeah, I’d love to see a Nintendo64 Classic. There’s so much I want to see from Nintendo as a whole. I’m excited to see what they come up with.

  1. I went to this event last year. A little bummed I’m not going this year but I like to sit back relax and see what all the developers have. Nintendo, Ubisoft and Sony are the main ones I’m watching out for this year. (By the way check your email when you get a chance.)

    • I think it’d be a great experience to go to the show at least once — by the sounds of it, you enjoyed it, which is great! I’m going to be playing catch up with the presentations, since most are happening while I’m at my day job.
Yes, we got the email! Rather, Rachel did — for some reason, it went to her email rather than DJ’s joint account, lol, which prompted us to fix it. We’ll get that to you as soon as possible!
