Last week I mentioned that Nintendo revealed a new Paper Mario game called Paper Mario Color Splash.
I’ve been looking for the trailer everywhere, but can’t seem to find it. However, I did find an analysis of the trailer.
GameXplain on YouTube takes an in-depth look at the trailer for the new and upcoming game.
From just a short trailer, GameXplain goes over a lot of the game from its graphics to touching upon the characters, to the battle mechanics.
In my post about Color Splash, I also mentioned my favorite Paper Mario games and how my like for it goes down each time a new game is released. I still love the series, don’t get me wrong, but I’m still waiting for a Paper Mario game just like the first original one or even like The Thousand Year Door.
Sticker Star was my least favorite Paper Mario installment and a lot of people in the comments were worried that Color Splash would be like a “Sticker Star 2.”
When you watch the trailer analysis you’ll notice all the references and similarities to Sticker Star. I think the game play itself will be fun, but the battles may be a bit tricky. It seems to me as though they’re trying to turn the game into more strategic playing.
I’m still looking forward to the game, anyway. I plan on playing through the whole series again in the meantime. There still is no release date for Color Splash, but hopefully it’ll be in the early Fall instead of December 31.
