Stressful Games: Batman

Rachel Mii Double JumpHello everyone.
Video games make me panic.
I think that’s all I have to say about this one for an intro.
Batman: Arkham Ayslum
If you’ve been reading my posts for a while now, you should have gotten the sense that I don’t typically play these kinds of games. I love Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Sonic (even though those games have really gone down hill…), Animal Crossing, etc. I enjoy the laid back, “rated E for everyone” games.
But I love Batman and when this game came out I was super excited. It’s a fantastic game, one that I need to replay again.
Though it’s a stressful game. I’m not used to such a dark, combative game and I suffer from Second Player Syndrome. I tend to enjoy watching others play these kinds of games, not play them myself.
I panicked the entire time I played this game. When I got to the boss battle with the Scarecrow, it took me a long time. You want to know? I had to keep pausing to breathe and shake off the sweat from my hands.
The worst part is that the game is intense, but it’s not really. I’m probably the only person who freaks out when playing video games.
It’s entertaining for the people watching, though.
What kinds of games stress you out?

  1. When I was younger, I was chased by something in a game and it jumped above me, I panicked so bad that I made the character run back as if it was me! (It actually turned out for the best because I dodged it, but hey ho!)
I’ve seen some let’s play of Batman. It looks gorgeous.
I’m guessing you’d like Rayman too then?

  2. Try ‘Splosion Man or Ms. ‘Splosion Man in multiplayer mode. They’re stressful games 😉
