February went by so fast… which is getting kind of old because I feel like I say that every month, but oh well.
Nickelodeon is remaking the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles again. While I didn’t watch all the seasons of what Nickelodeon currently turned the show into, I still enjoyed the first season. I don’t think they did a bad job with it.
Now they’re remaking it again and I’m mad. They’ve ruined it. But that’s another story for another day…
It got me thinking about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Nintendo Gamecube. It was an action, beat ’em up game released in October 2003 by Konami and Bandai Namco Partners. It was based off the 2003 TV show of the Ninja Turtles.
I haven’t played it in a while, but if I recall correctly, it wasn’t that great. But I loved it all the same. I never beat the game because there was one level I just couldn’t get past. I barely played by myself, but Kris played with me and an old friend of mine used to play with me. She wasn’t into video games but loved the Ninja Turtles. We tried hard to beat it but never did.
The game is broken up into areas and each area has a couple levels. We couldn’t save the game unless we beat an area. That’s why the game was never beaten because the level we couldn’t get past was the final level of an area. It got old redoing the same levels over and over again after a while.
I forgot about this game and I really want to play it again. Of course, Kris and I just discovered that only one out of our five Gamecube controllers work. So we can’t play together unless we track down a well working used Gamecube controller somewhere.
Someday though. Someday I will definitely turn this game back one and beat it.
