Forgotten City from RiME – Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling is one of our favorite musicians at this time. She does violin, mostly electric violin, and we don’t believe we’ve showcased her here a couple of times before on the site, but it’s been a while.

While Lindsey does mostly original songs right now — her next album is actually coming out near the end of this September — she does have a few gaming-related music videos up on her YouTube channel. The latest one was done a couple of years ago for the game RiME. While we’ve never played RiME, the music was beautiful, and Lindsey did a video for one of the original songs, Forgotten City. We hope you enjoy it as we do!

Halo Theme by Lindsey Stirling and William Joseph

We’ve showcased a bit of Lindsey Stirling’s skills on this blog before, and we thought it high-time that we do it again.

Neither Rachel nor I have ever played Halo, but the music is often found in video game music compilations that we’ve seen around YouTube and Spotify. The music has always sounded epic to us, especially this violin and piano collaboration between Lindsey and William Joseph. We hope you enjoy the video down below and the music as much as we do!

Skyrim Theme (Acapella & Violin Cover)

As many of you know, music is one of our favorite aspects of video games, and it’s amazing to us to see how creative artists can be when it comes to covering beloved video game tunes. This time we’re showing off another favorite of ours, the Skyrim Theme performed acapella style with a violin accompaniment.

Peter Hollens is an extremely talented acapella singer who has covered many a song from movies, video games, and pop culture from all over the place. He has an adorable family that he shares his music with, including his wife Evynne who performs on her own channel and has collaborated many times with Peter.

The Skyrim Theme, however, is a collaboration with famed violinist Lindsey Stirling, who has an amazing repertoire of her own. She has three albums of original content and beautiful music videos to go with them.

We hope that you enjoy this music video and like Peter and Lindsey enough to go and peruse their other content!
