On March 3, 2026, Nintendo presented us with another Indie World, showcasing the games that are coming soon to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems. In no particular order, here are some of the games I’m looking forward to the most.
Grave Seasons
I like cozy games. I also like farming sims. And there’s a murder mystery involved? Sign me up! While the presentation didn’t give us a whole lot of information about Grave Seasons, visually it wasn’t hard to figure out that murder is involved. Are we the killer? Are we trying to find the killer? I did look up the game on Steam and got more information from the description. I also noticed that it has the “horror” tag. I don’t play horror games, so I’m hoping this title doesn’t have such anxiety-inducing themes for me to play.
Minishoot’ Adventures
I’m not one for shooting games, especially first-person shooters. However, I do enjoy a solid twin-stick shooter now and then. The graphics look bright and crisp, the combat seems challenging, and the controls look fluid. I’d like to give this one a try. It was released the same day as the presentation, so we have access to the game now. However with Pokopia right around the corner, I’ll be wishlisting this title for now.
Heave Ho 2
Heave Ho released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019. It’s a game I never paid attention to and, truth be told, when Heave Ho 2 was announced I didn’t know there was a first game. (Until I looked it up and then it was familiar.) I never had an interest in playing Heave Ho, but Heave Ho 2 looks like it’d be great fun with friends. I know Kris and I will probably enjoy it together, and I can see us playing with our cousins and laughing a lot. This title is going on the wishlist for sure.
Blue Prince
Originally released in April 2025, Blue Prince is quite the popular title. I’ve heard many great things about this game and it’s been on my radar for a while. It goes on sale a lot, though I haven’t gotten it yet. Now that it’s officially on the Nintendo Switch 2, I’m not sure which platform I’d like to get it on. However, I will be getting it soon.
My Little Puppy
A game about puppies? Yes. But a game about them traveling to the afterlife in search of their owner again? I teared up at the trailer so I know I’m going to sob when I play this game. I enjoy games that make me cry and make me really feel my feelings. After losing three of my pets within the past year and a half, and now my dog may have dementia, I know My Little Puppy will hit far too close to home. But it’ll be incredibly healing, so I’m looking forward to it.
Which games are you looking forward to?
Let me know which indie games you’re eager to play on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms in the comments. If you missed the presentation, you can watch it below.

Rachel
Often seen as the second player, Rachel grew up watching Kris play video games before she was old enough to pick up a Nintendo controller herself. Now she only sometimes gives Kris the hard bosses to defeat.
In real life, Rachel is a full-time pet sitter and part-time storyteller. She writes game reviews for Pure Nintendo Magazine, and is working on creating her own video game.
